St. Stephen’s will hold a flea market Aug. 22 to support a local no-kill animal shelter — a portion of the proceeds also will benefit the church. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Lots of items have been donated, including dozens of Boyd’s Bears, toys, books, tools, Christmas decorations, household items, and lots more.
There will be breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, haluski, and more. Come help both organizations and enjoy good food. Park and enter at rear of church.
St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church is hosting a presentation on the effects of violence on the McKeesport community.
The guest speaker will be Diane Dahm, director of prevention, education, and outreach at the Center for Victims.
The program is at 6 p.m. Aug. 24 and will last an hour. Diane will discuss the lasting effects of violence in our community, and how we might help.
There is no charge for this event, but attendees are asked—as they are able—to bring food to share with everyone at the dinner. Utensils, cups, and plates will be provided.
The presentation will be followed by a potluck dinner, a time for reflection and connecting with other members of our community.
